Description: This is an extremely unique watercolor painting project to advertise the Cannes Floral Exhibition in 1954. 

Artist: Emmanuel Bellini was a French architect, painter, draughtsman and figurative lithographer. He was born in Monaco and grew up during the height of the Belle Époque. He remembered his childhood lit with sunshine and bright colours as he watched aristocrats and gentlefolk visiting casinos, opera and the glorious coastline – joyful memories that would later inspire his art. He studied at the Rocher drawing school before working for a firm of architects. Teaching himself to paint, he combined his day job as an architect in Cannes with his love of art. Influenced by Fauvism and Impression, and using intense colour, his output was prolific and he exhibited many times in the South of France. One of Bellini’s many admirers was Prince Rainier of Monaco who loved his cheerful pictures and supported many of his exhibitions.
