Artist: Serge de Poligny (1903 - 1983) was a French screenwriter and film director. He was born in Paris in 1903 and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts with Maurice Denis. He left to work with Paramount film company as a set-designer and painter before going on to become an assistant director and film director. He worked with many greats like Jean Cocteau and Christian Dior. He returned to painting and exhibited at the Galerie André Weil in Paris.
