Artist: Pablo Palazuelo (1915-2007) was a Spanish painter. He qualified as an architect before serving in the Spanish Civil War, after which he devoted his time to painting. His early abstracted still lifes were influenced by Juan Gris, Picasso and Daniel Vázques Díaz. He moved to Paris in 1948 and worked in geometric-abstract style founded on the constant exploration of new shapes and their infinite variations. He exhibited in the inaugural Salon de Mai, Paris in 1949. His first solo exhibition was in 1955 with Galerie Maeght who he continued to exhibit with until the 1980s.
