Artist: Roger Worms (1907 - 1980) was a French painter, ceramicist and art teacher. He was born in Epernay in 1907 and attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts Décoratifs, Paris, where he later taught. Inspired by Manet and the Impressionists, he was a member of the Salon d’Automne and the Salon des Indépendents and exhibited at the Salon des Peintres Témoins de leur Temps and was invited to the Salon des Tuilleries.

 He painted Breton landscapes, seascapes and still-lifes in shades of blue-green. In 1937, he decorated the Pavillion des Sports for the Exposition International, Paris.
