Jean Colin was an award-winning French graphic designer known for creating more than 300 posters. His humorous and colourful advertising designs for clients such as Shell, Perrier and Cinzano became widely recognised across Europe and the United States.

In the late 1940s, he joined a group of graphic designers who, in 1952, founded the prestigious Alliance Graphique Internationale in Paris. Today, he is celebrated as one of France’s most popular and influential poster designers.
