Artist: Paul Guiramand (1926-2008) was a French painter and theatre set designer. He studied at L’École des Beaux-Arts and was influenced by Brianchon, Picasso and Matisse. During periods of travel in Spain and Italy, he held his first exhibition at Marlborough Fine Art in London when he was living primarily at the Villa Medicis in Florence with Tilson, Francis Bacon and Corpora. In 1954 he began working with Charles Sorlier, a master printer at Mourlot’s Atelier where he began a series of lithographs. His work was exhibited at key galleries and museums including Galerie Taménaga, Osaka in Japan.
