Pablo Palazuelo was a Spanish painter who trained as an architect before serving in the Spanish Civil War, after which he devoted himself to painting. His early abstract still lifes were influenced by Juan Gris, Picasso and Daniel Vázquez Díaz.

He moved to Paris in 1948 and developed a geometric-abstract style, exploring new shapes and their infinite variations. He exhibited at the inaugural Salon de Mai in Paris in 1949, and his first solo exhibition took place in 1955 with Galerie Maeght, who continued to represent his work into the 1980s.
